Steven G. Reed, Ph.D.


Founder & Chief Scientific Officer- Infectious Disease Research Institute

Dr. Reed is the founder and scientific director of the Infectious Disease Research Institute (IDRI). Dr. Reed was co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Corixa Corporation, which was founded in 1994 and sold to GlaxoSmithKline in 2005. In 2005 he founded Dharma Therapeutics, a Seattle biotech developing transdermal delivery systems. In 2008, Dr. Reed co-founded Immune Design Corp., a vaccine company. Dr. Reed serves on several editorial review committees, has served as a member of the Tropical Medicine Study Section of the National Institutes of Health and the Vaccine Development Steering Committee of the World Health Organization (WHO), and is currently a member of the Diagnostics Steering Committee of WHO.
