Frank Prendergast, M.D., Ph. D.


Director- Mayo Clinic Center for Individualized Medicine, Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees

Dr. Prendergast, a former Rhodes Scholar, is currently the Director for the Mayo Clinic Center for Individualized Medicine at the Mayo Clinic and is the Edmond and Marion Guggenheim Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Mayo Medical School. Formerly, Dr. Prendergast was the Director of the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center; a Presidential Appointee to the National Cancer Advisory Board; and he was the Chair of Research of the Mayo Foundation. Dr. Prendergast also recently served on the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee of the Mayo Foundation. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Eli Lilly Company; the Infectious Disease Research Institute; and the Board on Radiation Effects Research, National Academy of Sciences. He has served on numerous National Institutes of Health advisory boards and has authored more than 300 abstracts and full papers.
